LG Display to assemble OLED panels in Vietnam

SEOUL -- LG Display has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnamese city of Haiphong to build a display module assembly plant there as it strives to boost output of OLED displays.

     The South Korean company plans to establish a local unit capitalized at $100 million by June. The factory is slated to begin production in the July-December period of next year.
