Lenovo's acquisitive nature keeps its innovation edge sharp

TOKYO -- Since Lenovo Group took over IBM's PC business in 2005, the Chinese company has acquired other established foreign brands, including German PC maker Medion in 2011 and Motorola's mobile business in 2014. Along the way, it has grown larger and gobbled up more market share by leveraging these brands and the technology backing them up.

If recent Japanese media reports are correct, Lenovo wants to repeat that formula by snapping up the PC unit of Japanese electronics maker Fujitsu.
