TOKYO -- Prices for robusta coffee beans have hit their lowest level in more than a year on the widespread view that supplies from multiple sources will surge measurably.

The most heavily traded futures for the beans touched $3,459 per metric ton in London's commodities market on June 26 -- a low not seen since May 2024 -- and have hovered around $3,600 a ton there since early July.
