SYDNEY -- Australia's Mineral Resources will mothball one of its lithium mines, the latest cutback in the beleaguered battery metal industry as prices remain depressed.

The decision announced on Wednesday followed an update on Monday from Liontown, another lithium producer, that it was scaling back production plans to save cash. Pilbara Minerals (PLS) also reduced its projected output this month by shutting down one of its two processing plants.
