TOKYO -- International rice prices are declining after India, the world's leading exporter, eased restrictions in September, a move seen easing inflation among key importers in Southeast Asia and Africa.
The benchmark Thai rice export price reached $529 per tonne last week -- a drop of 8% from a month earlier and a 21% drop from the 15-year high marked in late January.
