TOKYO -- Asian currencies have pared gains due to a resilient U.S. economy and China's disappointing stimulus measures.

Investors are dealing with uncertainties ranging from the size and pace of U.S. Federal Reserve's future rate cuts to additional fiscal measures China may roll out to the escalating geopolitical conflict in the Middle East.
