U.K. pound climbs highest against yen in over 7 years

Bank of England expected to deliver another rate hike as inflation stays high

TOKYO -- The pound sterling on Monday reached the strongest level against the yen since February 2016 following data that showed U.K. inflation remains hot.

The pound touched the high 173 yen range as traders expected more interest rate hikes from the Bank of England.
