TOKYO -- The yen weakened to 143.50 to the dollar at the end of Bank of Japan Gov. Kazuo Ueda's dovish press conference Friday.
Before the presser ending the two-day meeting, the yen's overall movement was limited, with the currency trading between the upper end of the 141 range and the lower end of the 142 level.
