TOKYO -- The yen weakened to 149.18 per dollar at one point on Tuesday, marking a low not seen since October last year.
This drop followed the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yield rising to 4.54% on Monday, touching a 16-year high. Traders bought the dollar versus a wide range of currencies in response.
