TOKYO -- Foreigners purchased a net 2.07 trillion yen ($13.4 billion) in Japanese stocks in January, the seventh-highest monthly amount on record, spurred by strong earnings and corporate efforts to raise low price-to-book ratios.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange released figures on investment-sector trading trends on Thursday, covering the Tokyo and Nagoya markets. The figures have been available since 1982.
