HONG KONG -- QuantumPharm, a Chinese AI-driven drug research company known as XtalPi and backed by Tencent, began trading in Hong Kong on Thursday.

The shares opened at 5.39 Hong Kong dollars, or 2.1% higher than the offering price of HK$5.28. The stock then jumped to an intraday high of HK$6.58 before closing at HK$5.80, up 9.8%.
