Indonesia maintains key interest rate at 5.75% as rupiah slumps

Inflation remains subdued and below central bank's target range

JAKARTA -- Indonesia's central bank on Wednesday left its seven-day reverse repo rate unchanged at 5.75% for the third consecutive meeting.

Economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast the central bank would hold the benchmark rate steady.
