SINGAPORE -- Livestreaming platform 17Live is set on expanding in the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations with capital raised after its Singapore Exchange trading debut on Friday, although shares performed below the benchmark set by the shell company it merged with.
17Live bypassed the traditional route to an initial public offering by combining with a special purpose acquisition company already listed on SGX and backed by Vertex Holdings, a venture capital unit of Singapore state investor Temasek -- a first for the city-state's bourse.
