HONG KONG(Aug 11) -- CITIC Telecom International Holdings, the telecom unit of Chinese conglomerate CITIC, said Friday its net profit for the first half rose 10.9%, helped by growth in its enterprise solutions business and valuation gains on its investment property.
Net profit for the six months ended Jun. 30 stood at HK$454.64 million ($58.15 million) compared to HK$410.01 million a year earlier, the company said in an exchange filing. Revenue fell 6.1% on-year to HK$3.59 billion on a decline in sales of equipment and mobile handsets, which almost halved to HK$434.7 million.
The board declared an interim dividend of 3.00 Hong Kong cents per share, representing a 5.3% growth over the corresponding period of the previous year.
