MARKET BUZZ: Malaysia's Kronologi +5.9%; Rising Cyberattacks May Lift Pdt Demand

By Chong Sin Hao
Nikkei Markets
KUALA LUMPUR (Jun 29) -- Kronologi Asia jumps 5.9% to MYR0.54 as rising concerns over global cyberattacks may add to demand for company's data protection services and related products. "The recent Ransomware attacks have raised additional awareness for corporate data backup, recovery and protection," says dealer at local brokerage. "Even without the cyberattack issue, we believe Kronologi may ride on big data trend, helped by their presence in India and newly ventured Hong Kong market," he adds.
