Malaysia Smelting Corporation Appoints Au Soon Yong As New Finance Chief

KUALA LUMPUR (Jun 30) -- Malaysia Smelting Corporation, a tin miner and metal producer, said Friday it has named Au Soon Yong as its new Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.

Au, 31, will be replacing Yap Fook Ping who stepped down from the post today, the company said in an exchange filing.

Au has more than 11 years of experience in accounting, finance, treasury, internal and external audit, compliance, risk management and operational processes. He will be responsible for treasury and financial planning and analysis as well as execution of various improvement initiatives on operational processes of MSC Group, the company said.
