KUALA LUMPUR (Jun 30) -- Malaysia's Prolexus, an apparel maker, said Friday its net profit for the fiscal third quarter fell 54% on year due to lower contribution from apparel division.

Net profit for the three months ended Apr. 30 was 1.59 million ringgit ($370,000) versus 3.45 million ringgit a year ago, the company said in an exchange filing. Quarterly revenue was down 15.4% at 61.72 million ringgit from 72.95 million ringgit a year earlier.

Moving forward, the company expects its performance for the forthcoming quarter to be challenging.
