Singapore Raises 2017 GDP Growth, Strong Services Offset Manufacturing Slowdown

SINGAPORE (Feb 14) -- Singapore on Wednesday revised upwards its economic growth for 2017 as an expected downward revision to manufacturing was offset by better-than-expected growth in services.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry said the city-state's gross domestic product expanded by 3.6% in the fourth quarter from a year ago, higher than the advance estimate of 3.1%.
