SINGAPORE (Feb 01) -- Singapore real-estate company Frasers Centrepoint has changed its name to Frasers Property, according to an exchange filing Thursday.
"We have been operating under the Frasers Property brand outside Singapore for years. From today all our development businesses, retail businesses, commercial and business park businesses as well as logistics and industrial businesses in every geography will operate as Frasers Property," Frasers' chief executive Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi said.
About 55% of the company's properties are outside Singapore compared with 34% previously, the statement said without elaborating. Frasers Property owns S$27 billion ($20.6 billion) in residential, retail, commercial and industrial properties in Singapore and elsewhere in Southeast Asia, Australia, Europe and China. Frasers Property is the sponsor of Frasers Centrepoint Trust, Frasers Commercial Trust, and Frasers Logistics & Industrial Trust.
