Pioneer to remain in Nikkei Stock Average during TSE screening

Electronics maker's shares designated securities under supervision

TOKYO -- Nikkei Inc. said on Friday that Pioneer will remain part of the Nikkei Stock Average, despite the company's shares being designated as securities under supervision by the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Nikkei will monitor the TSE's screening and decide whether to replace the stock in the benchmark index.

The same approach will apply to the Nikkei 500 Stock Average.
