Bargain hunters snap up Tokyo stocks amid broader selloff

TOKYO -- While many investors stay on the sidelines at the Tokyo stock market, value-hunting investors are stepping up purchases, becoming a notable market presence.

     The Nikkei Stock Average on Monday fell below the 18,000 mark for the first time in a week. Over the past month, the market mood has completely changed as worries over the Chinese economy sparked a global selloff in stocks.
