China's budget carrier flies high on tourist turnaround

SHANGHAI -- Chinese stocks continued to climb on Friday, with the Shanghai Composite Index edging up 0.96% to 3,203, even though individual investors mostly stood on the sidelines ahead of the Lunar New Year.

     Spring Airlines, a low-budget carrier that went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Jan. 21, rose by the exchange-imposed limit for 10 consecutive sessions after the initial public offering.
