The benchmark Hang Seng Index slid 0.6% to 28,793.88. Heavyweight stock Tencent Holdings tumbled 3% after jumping 10.8% over the previous three days, its steepest gain for any three-day period since July 2015. The stock has been choppy recently, swinging at least 2.6% in either direction every day for the past six trading days.
