Figures used to calculate Nikkei Average to be altered June 28

TOKYO -- Nikkei on Tuesday announced it will change the presumed par values of NTT Data, Asahi Glass and Nippon Electric Glass used to calculate the 255-issue Nikkei Stock Average, effective June 28.

The changes, made in accordance with the respective companies' planned stock-split and reverse stock-split ratios, will lower the presumed par value of NTT Data from 50 yen to 10 yen, while raising the figure for Asahi Glass from 50 yen to 250 yen. Nippon Electric Glass' figure will be increased from one-third of 100 yen to one-third of 500 yen.
