Shares tumble as slowdown worries prompt selloff

MUMBAI (NewsRise) -- Indian indexes gave up early gains to fall 2%, tracking a sharp decline in European equities and U.S. stock futures, as global growth concerns gripped investors.

     The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 2.07% to 25,651.84 points, while the broader NSE CNX Nifty Index also declined 2.07% to 7,812.00 points.
