TOKYO -- The Tokyo Stock Exchange will add a rule as soon as summer requiring listed companies to have a system for improving investor relations (IR), hoping to encourage dialogue and a focus on medium- to long-term share price increases.
Creating a dedicated IR department or appointing an executive to oversee such matters are examples that the TSE has in mind.
