Warren Buffett adds to Japan trading company holdings

TOKYO -- Berkshire Hathaway, the U.S. investment company led by prominent investor Warren Buffett, said on Monday that it has purchased additional shares in five major Japanese trading houses, sending its average ownership of them to more than 8.5%.

The trading companies are Mitsubishi Corp., Mitsui & Co., Itochu, Marubeni and Sumitomo Corp.
