Water Tiger year favors Kishida, Zuckerberg and Mako: CLSA report

Lighthearted feng shui forecast predicts strong year for travel and shipping

The Feng Shui Index report for 2022 looks at the year ahead for public figures including Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg. (Image courtesy of CLSA)

HONG KONG -- The Hang Seng Index will leap ahead in the Year of the Tiger and new Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will have a "smooth beginning" to his tenure, according to investment bank CLSA's Feng Shui Index report.

The tongue-in-cheek predictions for stocks and public figures put out by the Hong Kong firm each year ahead of the Lunar New Year are based on a method of divination often used in China to plan major life events like weddings and funerals, and even construction projects. Many investors use the report as a reference, according to the company.
