TOKYO -- Japanese chemical group Toray will increase global annual production capacity 30% for water treatment membranes over the three years through March 2026, Nikkei has learned, as water shortages stemming from climate change increase demand.
Production will be increased 30% for reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, which account for 70% of sales revenue in Toray's water treatment membrane business.
