TOKYO -- Japanese figurine marketer Bandai Spirits will soon launch a flagship store in New York next month, tapping into the popularity of the "One Piece" anime series and the Gundam franchise.
The Times Square location will open Sept. 8 under the Tamashii Nations name, the Bandai Namco Holdings group company announced Friday. It will display roughly 100 products, including limited-edition items.
