TOKYO -- Leading Japanese publishers have invested a total of 780 million yen ($4.9 million) into Tokyo-based startup Mantra, which uses artificial intelligence to halve the time needed to translate manga, Nikkei has learned.
The investors include Shueisha, Shogakukan, Kadokawa and Square Enix Holdings, as well as an investment fund.
