JAKARTA -- From Indonesia's first sci-fi series to a Philippine zombie apocalypse movie, U.S. streaming service Netflix is expanding local production to meet Southeast Asians' growing appetite for homegrown entertainment.

Netflix will air 10 original productions from Thailand this year and six from Indonesia, versus six and five, respectively, in 2023. It will broaden the range of local content on offer as well.
