OSAKA -- As Nintendo's flagship Nintendo Switch gaming console approaches its seventh anniversary this March, investors are excited about the potential rollout of a successor to the popular device.
During an early February news conference regarding financial results, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa tried to avoid fueling rumors about a new Switch model. "We are unable to make any comments" about the console that will follow the Switch, he said. "It takes a long time and thorough planning to get ready for new hardware."
