PALO ALTO, California -- Nintendo on Friday postponed the start of U.S. preorders for its highly anticipated Switch 2 video game device in the wake of President Donald Trump's new tariffs.
"Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions," Nintendo of America said in a statement.
