Japanese game company looks to build on theme park success

TOKYO -- Nintendo announced Tuesday that it will open on Dec. 11, a new Donkey Kong themed area at Super Nintendo World, part of Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Osaka.

The new zone in the theme park, Donkey Kong Country, re-creates the worldview of the game, including Donkey Kong's house and the Golden Temple. Visitors can enjoy Mine Cart Madness, a ride through the jungle.
