Nintendo to restart live gaming event in October after COVID pause

First festival in 3 years comes as company struggles to make enough Switches

OSAKA -- Nintendo will hold its Nintendo Live video game event for the first time in three years this autumn, featuring competitions and live music.

The Tokyo Big Sight convention center will host the festival, set to take place on Oct. 8 and Oct. 9 but subject to cancellation or program changes if COVID-19 cases rise, the Japanese video game company said Thursday.
