SEOUL -- K-pop's search for the fresh talent needed to sustain its growth has taken on added urgency with the enlistment of a BTS member in the South Korean military.

Hybe, the company responsible for the supergroup BTS and other popular artists, has built a model for K-pop's global success by connecting with fans online.
