TOKYO -- Saudi Arabia is set to step beyond investing in Japanese gaming and entertainment companies and become more of a collaborative partner, Nikkei has learned, a strategic shift intended to help leverage intellectual property across the Middle East.

The kingdom's Public Investment Fund will take the first step in this direction in 2025 or later by transferring all its game-related stocks to its Savvy Games Group business subsidiary, a Savvy representative said.
