Melted fuel remains inside Fukushima reactor: Tepco

TOKYO -- Using imaging technology, the government and Tokyo Electric Power Co. Holdings were able to see for the first time what is believed to be melted fuel inside a reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

Fuel is likely at the bottom of the pressure vessel of the No.2 reactor, Tepco said Thursday. The No. 1 through No. 3 reactors suffered meltdowns in March 2011.
