TOKYO -- In an exclusive interview with The Nikkei on Tuesday, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, who took the helm of the U.S. tech giant two and a half years ago, talked about staying ahead of the technology curve and what sets the company apart from its rivals.

Nadella also discussed the company's vision for the Microsoft Windows operating system and its growing focus on cloud-based services.
