NAND flash memory prices likely to climb again

Huawei Technologies is focusing on mid- to high-end models that deliver higher capacity.

TOKYO -- After months of declines, prices of NAND flash memory will likely start picking up, thanks to its strength in helping deliver high-spec devices in the age of the internet of things.

Other drivers include Chinese smartphone makers, who are adding more value to their products. The higher the specifications, the more memory the gadget needs. That is why the battle for higher capacity is heating up.
