NEC plans Japanese-language school in Indian capital

NEW DELHI -- Technology giant NEC will open a Japanese school here Oct. 3, expecting locals eager to learn the language to increase as more Japanese companies enter India.

This school will use an employee language training program in place since 2005 and modified for the general public. It will be operated by NEC Technologies India, which was created as a joint venture between NEC and a local information technology company that year and became a wholly owned NEC subsidiary in 2013.
