New chairman of Infosys calms investors, says focus on stability, rapprochement

Board changes aimed at ending tensions with founders

MUMBAI (NewsRise) -- In his first call with investors after taking over as chairman of Infosys, Nandan Nilekani put the emphasis on restoring stability at the company after the tumultuous events of the past week and on finding a new chief executive.

Nilekani said he would stay on as along as is necessary to create "complete alignment between institutional investors, shareholders, including the founders, and the board."
