Nissan to partly unseal long-standing alliance agreement with Renault

TOKYO -- Nissan Motor will reveal for the first time parts of an agreement with Renault outlining the decadeslong alliance in a bid to restructure the unequal relationship with its French partner.

The promised disclosure comes in response to a shareholder proposal at Nissan's general meeting on Tuesday. For two years in a row, investors have called for the agreement to be disclosed in full, citing concerns that the deal places Nissan at a disadvantage.
