TOKYO -- Nissan Motor and Renault sought a path to compromise Tuesday as the Japanese automaker's CEO attended a regular board meeting of their automotive alliance for the first time since the arrest of former Chairman Carlos Ghosn.
Along with Nissan's Hiroto Saikawa, Renault deputy CEO Thierry Bollore is also attending the meeting set to run through Wednesday at the alliance headquarters in Amsterdam, according to sources. Osamu Masuko, chairman and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors -- the other member of the alliance -- took part remotely via the internet.
