GUANGZHOU -- Nissan Motor sold 104,794 new vehicles in China last month, a 14.2% year-on-year gain and the first double-digit increase in five months on the popularity of its sedans and sport utility vehicles.
The Sylphy sedan was Nissan's best-selling car for the month, with unit sales ticking up 14% to 28,382. The X-Trail and Qashqai SUVs followed, with an 8% increase to 14,015 units and an 11% jump to 12,100, respectively. Sales of the automaker's smaller commercial-use vehicles soared 21%.
