Osaka Gas eyes LNG biz abroad with Indonesia's Pertamina

OSAKA -- Osaka Gas is joining forces with Pertamina, a government-owned oil company in Indonesia, to cultivate liquefied natural gas business in the Southeast Asian country.

     The two have signed a memorandum of understanding focusing on technological cooperation. Osaka Gas will provide know-how in designing, building and operating an LNG import terminal and piping network. With many Japanese automotive and other companies setting up shop in Indonesia, Osaka Gas hopes to cultivate large-lot customers via the partnership.
