Panasonic, Tesla officially tie knot in solar cells

$255m deal will see output kick off in 2017

OSAKA -- Panasonic announced Tuesday a partnership with Tesla Motors in solar cells, with the Japanese company to spend some 30 billion yen ($255 million) to install production lines at a factory of the American electric-car company in the state of New York.
