Apple's first India store to launch Tuesday

PALO ALTO, U.S. -- Apple is set to open its first directly run stores in India, seeking to take a slice of the growing middle- and upper-class market now dominated by Chinese and South Korean brands.

The iPhone maker will open a location in Mumbai on Tuesday and another in the capital New Delhi on April 20, both in upscale shopping malls.
