China freezes $90m from celebrities' cosmetics company

Taiwanese actors Zhang Ting and Kevin Lin probed for alleged pyramid selling

HONG KONG -- Chinese authorities have frozen close to 600 million yuan ($94.15 million) in assets belonging to Taiwanese actress Zhang Ting and her husband Kevin Lin Ruiyang as part of an investigation into alleged pyramid selling.

The investigation centers on the couple's company Shanghai Dowell Trading, best known for its millions of sales agents peddling beauty masks and other cosmetics under the brand Tin'Secret, or TST.
